FRIENDS OF SIMON WIESENTHAL CENTER TOLERANCE TRAINING PROGRAM GAINS MOMENTUM THROUGH CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF CHIEFS OF POLICE
TORONTO—July 2008
—Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) today announced that its Glassman Tools for Tolerance® program is gaining momentum with members of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP). The CACP recognizes the program’s role in helping law enforcement personnel address and respond to the realities of intolerance, racial discrimination and various forms of inequality in diverse communities across Canada. To date, 154 police officers from 42 police boards across Canada (including Calgary, Halifax, North Bay, Ontario Provincial Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Saskatoon, Six Nations, and Vancouver) have participated in the tolerance training program.
