Knowledge and Empowerment: Preparing for Tools for Tolerance. This workshop addresses critical issues affecting racism, anti-semitism, the Holocaust, and tolerance in Canada and an increasingly complex and changing world. Issues to be considered include: the evolution of "the longest hatred” and anti-Zionism; lessons of racism and tolerance drawn from the Holocaust and their application to contemporary genocides such as Darfur. Simon Wiesenthal's message of anti-racism and tolerance in a rapidly changing Canadian social fabric will be threaded throughout the workshop. Please note: This Tools for Tolerance® pre-requisite workshop is being held in Toronto at the FSWC Resource and Leadership Training Centre. Participants living outside of the GTA must contact Melissa Mikel in order to make alternative arrangements to take part in this workshop. This workshop must be completed prior to attending a Glassman Tools for Tolerance® programme as per the Terms and Conditions.
