Resource & Leadership Training Centre

FSWC is proud to announce the official opening of the Resource and Leadership Training Centre!

This newly renovated 2000 square foot facility is quickly becoming the address for tolerance education in the city. The Gottdenker Family Reception Area sets an impressive tone for the work that will be done within and is a comfortable place for participants to debrief after a class.

Educators and Law Enforcement Professionals have been eagerly visiting the centre to participate in workshops and training sessions designed by Friends to ensure tolerance in our diverse city. In the Tom and Anna Koffler Tolerance Training Centre, participants have the opportunity to learn about the climate of antisemitism and intolerance today, and develop an understanding for the work that we do.

In The Brown-Nusbaum Family Exhibition Centre, visitors are faced with the frightening reality of the world envisioned by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Using multi-media, including two video screens, and professionally designed panels, the exhibit is both informative and engaging. The exhibit is complemented by a feature of books from the Harry and Barb Silverberg Reference Collection, which continues to grow with the aim to become the library for information on antisemitism, human rights and tolerance. Click here to see the Harry and Barb Silverberg Reference Collection Catalogue.

The Resource and Leadership Training Centre is meeting our mandate by bringing together inspired and influential professionals to learn from the lessons of the Holocaust and create strategies to ensure tolerance in our diverse city.

To visit the centre, use our library, attend a documentary screening or view our current exhibit, please contact us at executiveassistant@fswc.ca or (416) 864-9735
