TORONTO (March 8, 2018) - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center strongly condemns the upcoming ‘Israeli Apartheid Week’ on Queen’s University Campus.
Israeli Apartheid Week is a biased campaign of anti-Israel propaganda that routinely crops up on campuses to denounce and demonize the Jewish state. It is scheduled to run at Queen’s from March 12-16.
“It’s disturbing to see a Canadian university once again serve as the backdrop for this annual hate fest,” said Avi Benlolo, President and CEO of FSWC. “Post-secondary students have the right to an education free from intimidation, yet this event has historically left Jewish and Israeli students feeling targeted where they should otherwise feel safe. We encourage Queen’s staff and students to take a stand and reject this discriminatory campaign.”
