More than 200 rockets, mortar shells and anti-tank missiles were launched from Gaza at Israel today, seriously injuring at least one person and wounding several others.
“Every day this is a reality faced by Israelis, who are unaware of when they’ll have to face another attack on their land and have to run for safety,” said FSWC President and CEO Avi Benlolo. “It’s time for the world to stand with Israel in its fight against Hamas and the terrorism it continues to commit against innocent civilians.”
According to the IDF, 60 rockets and mortar shells were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defence system, while several others struck homes, buildings, a bus and fell in open areas.
The attack triggered sirens throughout southern Israel, sending hundreds of thousands of Israelis to bomb shelters.
